Assassin's Creed Unity locked to 900p @ 30fps due to weak CPUs of PS4 and Xbox One

There is a bad new for console user fans who were preparing to get their hands on upcoming Assassin's Creed Unity. A Ubisoft representative caused an uproar by stating that the game is locked to 900p i.e 1600 x 900 resolution at 30 fps for Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

In an interview with Video Gamer, Ubisoft's senior producer Vincent Pontbriand explains that large amount of AI computation required for the game is what's impacting the performance most. Here CPU is the bottleneck. Both PS4 and Xbox One use similar AMD Jaguar CPUs but maybe this is not enough to carry the load of next gen gaming.

Last year's Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag also shipped at 900p/30fps on both PS4 and Xbox One. A post-release patch, however, bumped the PS4 version to 1080p. Ubisoft has given no indication that it has plans to do the same for Unity.
