Many PC gamers who play games on laptops or notebooks would have sometime searched on Google that "how to play games on laptop using desktop graphic card" and would have surely get depressed as there was no way to play so. Yes! there was no way but now alienware made it possible with its new product called Graphics Amplifier.
Alienware's Graphic Amplifier released alongside with Alienware 13 is a box in which you can plug any PCIe 16x desktop graphic card (except AMD R9 295x2 as it comes with its own water cooling system) to play games. The box comes with a 460 watt power supply so you don't need to buy one. Also there are four USB 3.0 connectors at the back of the box to connect keyboard or mouse etc. Note that a special port is required to connect the box to the laptop which is only available with Alienware 13 laptop for now and will come with only Alienware laptops in future.
An Alienware 13 laptop can run Tomb Raider with full settings at 45.5 frames per second. With the Alienware Graphics Amplifier (outfitted with an AMD Radeon R9 290x), the game runs at 105.9 frames per second.
